Look-alikes in British Columbia

The closely related small twisted-stalk (Streptopus streptopoides) is similar in appearance and also produces edible, red berries. It differs in that it grows well under one foot (30 cm) high, the stalk is unbranched, the berries are spherical rather than oval, and the berry stems are not sharply kinked.
