Meadow Mushroom
- young gills are bright, bubble-gum pink
- skin does not turn yellow when rubbed
- stem base is not bulbous
- spore deposit is chocolate brown

Look-alikes in Ontario
A number of inedible or poisonous white mushrooms are superficially similar, but do not match all the key characteristics, and in particular the bright pink gills when young.
