Fairy Bell

  • berries are bright red and large (~0.5 inches in diameter).
  • berries occur at tips of branches in clusters.
  • taste is blandish/sweet.
  • varieties in British Columbia are Hooker's fairy bell (Prosartes hookeri) and Rough-fruited fairy bell (Prosartes trachycarpa).
  • plant grows in moist forested areas.
